World's ugliest home

"Rising dramatically, 300 metres above sea level, and built at a staggering cost of over a billion dollars, Antilia (the name is likely to be changed to ‘Anandam’) can be described as the Taj Mahal of the 21st century. Cantilevered and colossal, it easily dominates the skyline of the city. From the exquisite Krishna temple on the ground floor to Mukesh’s personal library on the top floor, it is a staggering feat."

Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani threw himself a small housewarming party on Friday to celebrate the opening of his new 27-story home in Mumbai, estimated to be the most expensive residence on the planet.

"The house would require 600 members of staff to maintain it."

Besides the temple and the library, the 400,000-square-foot building boasts a 50-seat cinema, multiple swimming pools, sprawling gardens, a ballroom, a helipad, a staff of 600, and, so far, a $200,000 monthly electric bill—the equivalent of 7,000 average Mumbai homes.

.

Paula Hayes

Paula Hayes is a New York based landscape artist.
It amazes me how she brings life into those terrariums.

And below are her funky silicon planters.

Do you feel it?

Santa Barbara

So, it was our first trip (?) ever since we got married. Except when we went to Japan on the way back from Korea. After lots of debates, we decided to go to Santa Barbara because it was only 2 hours of drive and I have never been there.

Yes, it was my first time to Santa Barbara.

Our first stop was a winery, called Carr located down town Santa Barbara.
Well, there were lots young people. And it was smaller than I expected.
I am not a big fan of red wine but I remember this winery carried more reds than whites.

Their pinot noir was quiet good, I remember.

Oh by the way, the tasting room is in their warehouse, and it's attractive and relaxed with a sit down bar.

Our next stop was Santa Barbara Shellfish Company.

Lots of people were waiting outside, it was breezy, sunny and relaxing.

Calamari. mmMmm.

Oysters. Yum!!!

And crab legs. Love love.

The service was attentive and friendly and the prices were affordable. This is definitely going to be the place to go whenever we are visiting Santa Barbara next time.

And then ice cream.

Walking around the pier... Time goes so slow.

Al fresco sushi dining on a lovely summer evening--Arigato! (That's literally the name of the restaurant!)

Baby Baby

One of my favorite baby stores is Janie and Jack.

My friend in Korea is expecting a baby boy.
So, as a gift, I have purchased little something for her baby.

How cute!!! Right? I know.
So I ask myself if I want one.
Well, I am not sure. I just got used to be called an aunt. :P
